What counts as a scan?
Each photo you submit for analysis counts as one scan.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
No Japanese is required to use our services.
How is it different from Google Translate?
Google Translate translates text, often quite randomly. Okaasan extracts, structures, calculates and interprets food data (allergens, Nutri-Score, dietary alerts, currency conversion, and more) in one scan.
Do you store my photos?
No. Photos are sent to the AI model for analysis, processed in real-time and permanently deleted.
How accurate is the analysis?
While highly accurate on clear labels, AI may struggle with damaged or partially visible packaging. Always verify critical information like allergens and ingredients before consumption.
Is the Nutri-Score reliable for Japanese products?
Nutri-Score is an estimated score calculated from visible nutrition values developed in Europe. It provides a useful comparison tool and quick healthy check to any product, not a medical diagnosis.
Can I cancel anytime?
